Let's Get Filming! Set up your space to record your show. Consider lighting, outside noises, camera angles, & other elements of what makes a strong baking show! You may choose to record on your phone or computer! Need the camera up higher to see the whole cooking experience? Place your computer up on a few books or a chair. Have questions? You chose to do a Math Section for your project! How exciting! Choose your recipe for your Cooking Show. Remember, you need to actually be able to make this tasty treat. Therefore, take some time to explore what you already have in your home before deciding on your experiment! Share a screenshot of your recipe in SeeSaw and explain why you selected it for this project. |
Backing Show Prep Go through the following checklist. Prep Check List: - Ingredients: What does this recipe require in the Ingredients? Make sure you have these in your home or set aside time get these before you record - Measurement: What does this recipe require for measurement tools? Make sure you have these in your home or set aside time get these before you record - Baking Show Name: Come up with a name for your segment of the show! Once you have this, share how you came up with it in SeeSaw! |
Script Writing Every good show has a script! In this section, begin writing out your show script! Make sure to include the following: (1) A Welcome Message (2) Introduce Yourself & the Show (3) Discuss what you are making. Where would you serve something like this? Fancy Dinner Party? Friday Night Snack? (4) What the viewer should prepare including ingredients and cooking utensils (5) Step-by-Step DETAILED cooking/baking instructions (6) Tasting the Food (7) Summary & Conclusion Feel free to put your script on a piece of paper or write it in a Google Doc |
Adjusting the Recipe For your cooking/baking show you will need to provide suggestions to your viewers on how to adjust your recipe in some way. This may include doubling the recipe for a larger group or how to make it smaller for a family. Take time to edit your scrip to include these elements! |

TRACKING PAGE: Make your "A" BLUE Go find a recipe for any food you enjoy! This may include a family recipe scribbled on a piece of paper or one you find via a Google Search! Make sure it is something you would eat! Identify the following factors: How many does the recipe serve? How much does it make? What are the ingredients? TRACKING PAGE: Make your "B" BLUE Using your Recipe from "A" - Double the Recipe - Triple the Recipe - Cut the Recipe in half Ex: If the recipe made 8 servings, doubling it would include finding how much of each ingredient you would need to make 16 servings. Submit your findings in SeeSaw with 3 separate posts including each ingredient's new value and how you found it.
